Rakuten TV- Movies & TV Series

Rakuten TV free? Where's the free, cannot play any free title on Sony android tv only option is to watch trailer. I will not purchase any title unless I know the apps capabilities and reliability. As there are no reviews I assume this is relatively new or simply not used by others. Only 1 star. Having seen other reviews for your apps now uninstalled and deleted my account.

Could be a good app maybe. Don't know why the spoken language can't be changed to English... Although possible in the options on the phone, the chromecast doesn't give that option. So de-installed it. Sorry guys, not getting my approval if I can't watch anything in the original language, just in French. 🤨

Love this streaming service, I can rent or buy the latest movies without a monthly subscription fee. Would be nice if they had complete series to purchase

Films slightly cheaper. But the player does not support UHD, HDR or Dolby Atmos. Add to that, the store is not available in the app. :(

I bought most titles in 4k. Just to find out this app doesn't support 4k or 5.1 sound. All other apps on my Google TV run 4k and up to 7.1 sound. My old smart TV app could as well. Any chance of updating for 4K?

I generally like this app and 5.1-sound over S/PDIF works fine. But the catalog for rental movies is not accessible via the home screen.

This app keeps reinstalling itself on my TV. Hostile app. I don't need Rakuten TV. Just go away.

Two serious issues - for now - for Rakuten is meant to be source of great cinema for film buffs and because those buffs are meant to be Rakuten's customers. 1 Rakuten still keep & sell films in just 1080p (FHD) whereas those films' 4K (UHD) variants, exist elsewhere. 2 Rakuten films when in UHD+HDR - seems that all - are "only" HDR10 whereas... those films (not every) exist in HDR10+ elsewhere and.... HDR10 vs HDR10+ (when film is done properly) are not the same !! obviously.

App don't work on TV with os Google tv. Menu runs in a small window in the upper left corner with tiny text and the stream in full screen. They both should be in full screen. App is now useless...
